Heather
Considered one of the top wedding planners in the nation and founder of Weddings Unique, Heather is dedicated to providing the highest level of client service, detailed perfection and flawless execution. With fifteen years of experience in consulting, planning, designing and producing over 1,500 weddings in Florida and around the world, Heather has the ability to go well beyond the traditional role of a wedding planner and offer extensive knowledge and access to world class locations, venues and vendor relationships.
Heather is one of only 20 nationwide Accredited Wedding Consultants designated by the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) and also an active member of the International Association of Event Specialists (ISES) while currently pursing the certification as a prestigious Special Event Professional (CSEP).
Heather frequently travels, speaks and conducts media interviews. She has been seen on hit TV shows including The Style Network's "Married Away" and "Who's Wedding Is It Anyway", Platinum Weddings, E!, iVillage Live!, Inside Edition, The Learning Channel, The Daily Buzz, FOX News and Lifetime TV's "Get Married". Her regular contributions appear in the pages of InStyle, People, Grace Ormonde, The Knot, Elegant Bride, Brides, Bridal Guide, Destination I Do, Central Florida Bride, Orlando Leisure, and Orlando Style with a monthly column. Her point of view and tips on trends and all things wedding have been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Orlando Sentinel, Orlando Business Journal and Copley News Service. Heather is married with two children.
Marie
A graduate from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marie brings 10 years of marketing, advertising and design experience to the group. With knowledge of marketing trends, a passion for the arts and interest in client relationships, she has become a valuable asset to the Weddings Unique team.
Working for Fortune 500 companies in the past, she has assisted in developing effective marketing strategies and creating corporate brand identities. Marie has also assisted in planning numerous corporate events, as well as her own gallery showing of personal artwork which she successfully sold a number of art pieces.
A native to Michigan, Marie has always had an interest in event planning and was able to pursue this career goal after moving to Central Florida and becoming a team member at Weddings Unique.
She prides herself on creating and maintaining excellent rapport with every client and vendor helping to make each event extraordinary and unforgettable. Marie aspires to consistently provide friendly and professional service to couples helping them achieve the wedding of their dreams.
Linda
Prior to joining the Weddings Unique team, Linda founded her own wedding and event planning company, Simply Soirée, Inc., in 2001 and operated till 2010.
A native from New Orleans, Louisiana, Linda brings warmth and soul to all her events.
With over 13 years experience in the wedding and special event industry, Linda's background includes restaurant management and director of catering. Linda has held the prestige position of Events Director for Bank of America, where she planned, executed and managed all in-house and field events and projects for the Central Florida Region. She later showcased her talents with Sterling Events, a premier meeting planning company in North Carolina. At Sterling Events, she had the privilege of traveling across the nation, planning and executing large conferences, trade shows, mult-day seminars and very special events – including a Luau in Maui, Hawaii for 800 guests. Linda has also coordinated events for many major corporations including WESH television, FISERV, House of Blues and Universal Studios Florida. She has even booked talent & produced concerts.
Before moving to Orlando, Florida in 1990. Linda also danced a few steps with Fred Astaire (Dance Studios) – as both an instructor and producer of their annual extravaganzas and has choreographed special waltzes for many weddings.
Linda is a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and is also a contributing writer for the magazine as well as on the planning committee for the organizations 2007 and 2008 annual conference. She has also been a featured guest for the "Ask A Professional" segments on a local radio station and has appeared on TV45 as a wedding consultant. Linda is also a founding member of the nonprofit D.A.R.T. (Disaster Aid Response Team) ministry that was formed in 2005 after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and is now certified and a part of the CERT (community emergency response team) program. She is also very involved in local show productions.
Ashley
A senior at the University of Central Florida's Rosen College of Hospitality Management with studies in Event Management, Ashley offers the team her creative ideas and insights in marketing and office management. Ashley is a member of Meeting Professional's International and has a variety of experience in different aspects of the industry. Her latest internship with the March of Dimes has given her experience in the marketing, promoting, planning, and advertising aspects of events. Ashley has also worked at Write in Style hand-in-hand with various vendors to develop invitations and stationary materials to make each client's ideas come to life.
Ashley's drive and passion for the wedding industry shines through with her desire to build and maintain a friendly connection with clients and vendors. An organized and strategic planner, Ashley's services promise to be rewarding to the team.
Samantha
A recent graduate of The University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Samantha brings a young and fresh perspective to our team. Samantha has had experience in many different areas of the industry, most recently in special event sales at The Orange County Regional History Center in downtown Orlando, Florida. Getting to work with many different kinds of events allowed her to learn the ins and outs of the industry, but it didn’t take Samantha long to discover that her true passion was for planning that once-in-a-lifetime day for couples.
Samantha is very excited to contribute her new and fresh knowledge to the Weddings Unique team, while learning as much as possible about planning and designing every element of the wedding experience. Samantha prides herself on maintaining professional and friendly relationships with vendors and clients, and approaches every event as an opportunity to learn and grow in the wedding industry. Her creative, organized and task-oriented personality will only add to the high quality service that we promise every client. Samantha feels truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to help design the most important day of many couples’s lives
