Tina and Rahul’s Wedding Weekend, Part One

by Andrea on Thursday, February 2, 2017

Tina and Rahuls wedding weekend was nothing short of a fairytale so as every good fairytale begins, so shall this one.

Once a upon a time, (( last year)), a true princess married her Prince Charming and together with their families, Weddings Unique planned & designed the gorgeous weekend for #RTLOVESTORY. The Four day Wedding celebration consisted of a perfect combination of Sindhi and Punjabi traditions, both honoring each of their respective families. ( We will blog later about the traditions, for now, back to the love story).

From the very start, it was important for Tina and Rahul to have a wedding weekend that translated their love story. She is a girly girl, loves pink and bling and wanted to incorporate her style with modern twist. As for Rahul, his most important part of the weekend was ensuring Tina got the Fairy Tale she always wanted (( And if you ask us, he started their fairytale just right by proposing in a castle !))

We started the weekend festivities with a Welcome Reception for all guests who got their first glimpse of the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. as they shared in the Sagan. This is when the boy’s side gives a gift to the bride, as a symbol welcoming her into their family. The couple also cut into their First Wedding Cake, to bring them good luck the rest of the Weekend!

As we go on the to second chapter of the wedding weekend, the second day day really gave us all the feels. Beauty, both inside & out, was what captivated us and the story of who the couple were started to unfold.

The  Morning was dedicated to our bride with the traditional Mehndi celebration dedicated to Tina. the joy & love that was in the air was contagious and even mother nature felt it by giving us the most perfect day.  The Mehndi event is known to be a very colorful and exciting celebration, and Tina’s was all that and more! Every aspect of this event portrayed our bride: Food Trucks intricately designed & full of her favorite foods shared with guests our brides passion of being a foodie, upbeat and fun music showed her personality, and gorgeous bright & cheerful blooms matched the brides insane beauty!! Professional Mehndi artist applied henna to friends & family that celebrated the morning with her & danced the afternoon away with her.

Although we truly enjoyed every wedding event, the Sangeet is where the party really began & the excitement with both sides commenced. It is traditionally a pre wedding event that occurs in Hindu, Punjabi, and Gujurati wedding ceremonies, and it translates to ‘sung together’ from Sanskrit. The Sangeet’s real main purpose was to surround the couple with all the love and happiness, while being entertained by beautifully choreographed dances by family & friends. Our groom even surprised his princess with a dance!

The Theme of this night was very enchanted, and played off one of the best fairytales of all time: Beauty and the Beast. Red Roses, Gold Accents, lively music & a True beauty made this Sangeet one to Remember.
